Prevent Mold Allergies - Form, commonly found in homes and construction sites around the world is fungal. Ideal conditions for mold growth are everywhere, it is moist, warm and dark. Like all mushrooms, the house reproduced in the form of spores are released into the air. While the spores may be too small to see, its effects can certainly feel. mold spores, the body exposed through the nose and mouth or touch can penetrate the skin cause an allergic reaction, the reaction is similarly caused by pollen.


How to Prevent Mold Allergies


Prevent mold allergies by eliminating presence of mold in your home. Mold grows where it is warm and wet, so primary locations will be bathrooms and basements. Make sure these areas are well ventilated and have exposure to direct sunlight whenever possible.


Prevent mold allergies by reducing humidity in your home. You can do this by cutting down on your water usage, or you can use dehumidifier to effectively remove excess moisture from air. You can purchase functional dehumidifier at most local hardware stores or online.


Wear face mask when you work in home or outside. Your work will cause more mold spores to be thrown into air and you will end up breathing in large amount, resulting in severe allergic reaction, if you are not careful.


Avoid certain outdoor activities that often trigger mold allergies, such as raking leaves. Mold often forms in dark, wet layer under fallen leaves.


Use over-the-counter allergy medication. Antihistamines that you would use for pollen or pet allergies will help soomold reactions as well.
